Post-Wax Care — What to Do After Your Appointment

Your hair follicles remain open for up to 24 hours after waxing. During this window, to avoid irritation and keep your skin calm:

Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and rigorous exercise — these introduce bacteria and cause sweating that can irritate freshly waxed skin.
Protect waxed areas from direct sun exposure — freshly waxed skin is more susceptible to UV damage and hyperpigmentation.
Skip tight or abrasive clothing over waxed areas for the first 24 hours.

After 24 hours, gentle daily exfoliation is the single best thing you can do to prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smooth skin between appointments. Our estheticians will recommend products specifically suited to your skin type — just ask.

If your skin feels extremely irritated or painful beyond the first day, call us. All of our estheticians are highly trained in skin care and will help you assess and address what you’re experiencing.

The finishing details matter — and brow design and lash tinting at Signature Day Spa are among our most popular add-on services for good reason. Precisely shaped brows frame the face and bring structure and symmetry to every feature. Tinted lashes and brows deliver definition that outlasts your makeup and eliminates the daily need for brow pencils, powders, and mascara.
